What Is the Price Offer Card?

The price card animates the oldest conversion device in retail: a price that was one thing and is now less. A white card carries the plan or product name, a short subtitle, the new price in large type with an optional period suffix, the old price beside it, and a Save chip in the corner. The strike draws through the old price as the new figure counts down toward it, so the drop is something the viewer watches happen rather than reads. The saving percentage on the chip is computed from the two prices, so it cannot contradict them. Use it for launch pricing, affiliate deals, discount codes and monthly-versus-yearly comparisons.

How It Works

The card settles first, then a strike line draws horizontally through the old price over a handful of frames. The headline price is interpolated downward from the old figure to the new one on an ease-out curve, landing exactly on the target, which makes the motion read as a drop rather than a generic count-up. The Save chip pops in with a small overshoot once the price lands, carrying either the computed percentage or your own text if you override it.

Best For

  • -Plan and pricing announcements
  • -Affiliate deals and discount codes
  • -Product launches with an introductory price
  • -Monthly versus yearly plan comparisons
  • -Any was-this, now-this moment

Best Platforms for Price Offer Card

TikTok

Deal and product-find videos rely on the price being unmissable. A figure that visibly drops does the job in under a second, and the Save chip gives the comment section the number they always ask for.

Instagram Reels

Launch and promo Reels are watched muted. The strike-through and the falling number communicate a discount with no audio and no on-screen text beyond the price itself.

Making the discount honest and legible

The saving percentage is calculated from the old and new prices you enter, which keeps the chip and the figures in agreement automatically. If you need different framing, such as the amount saved rather than the percentage, or a phrase like launch price, override the chip text and it renders exactly what you type. Keep the subtitle to a few words that name what the price is for, such as per seat or lifetime access, because the period suffix beside the price handles the billing interval. When the old and new prices have different digit counts, for example 129 down to 89, the count-down passes through the shorter width naturally, so nothing jumps; there is no need to pad values.

Using it for a plan comparison rather than a sale

The same card works when nothing is discounted. Put the monthly price in the old-price slot and the effective monthly price when billed yearly in the main slot, and the chip shows the saving from annual billing. Or place two cards side by side on the canvas, each with only the main price filled in, to compare two plans without any strike-through at all. Because the card shares its surface, type scale and colourways with every other element in the family, a pricing beat drops straight into a video that already uses the checklist or comparison cards without looking like it came from a different template.

Frequently asked questions

Have another question? Talk to us.

Is the Save percentage calculated automatically?

Yes, from the old and new prices you enter, so it can never disagree with the figures on screen. You can override the chip with your own text when you want to show the amount saved or a phrase instead.

Can I use it without an old price, just to show a price?

Yes. Leave the old price empty and both the strike-through and the Save chip are skipped, so the card settles and the price counts up to its value like a standard figure reveal. That makes it a straightforward pricing card for a plan that is not on offer.

Does it support currencies other than dollars?

The currency field is free text, so any symbol or short code works, including pound, euro, rupee and yen. Both the old and the new price use whatever you enter there, which keeps the two figures visually consistent while the price counts down between them.

Can the price count up instead of down?

If the new price is higher than the old one, the figure counts upward to it, which suits a price-increase announcement or a grandfathered-rate warning. The strike still draws through the old value, so the change reads clearly in either direction.
